My Hyper Vest is comfortable to wear during any activity. I have used it walking, running, swimming, biking, hiking, etc. This means that everything I do becomes weight-bearing exercise, and the Hyper Vest increases resistance and enables me to burn more calories.

Most of the time, I forget I even have the Hyper Vest on! The only time I really notice the Hyper Vest during a workout is when I swim in it. The extra drag it creates and the added weight cause a noticeable difference in my speed and buoyancy, which is great because it causes me to push (and breathe) harder without messing up my form.

Here's how I use it: I will typically warm up without the Hyper Vest on and then put it on for about half of the total distance I plan to do. Then I take it off again for the second half of the workout and FLY!!

Swimming has always been easy for me, so I am really enjoying the new challenge the Hyper Vest presents!

Hi Suzi,
So how much weight do you need in the water when you swim? Do you ever feel like you will totally sink? Do you have any measurements that show how fast you swim with the vest, without the vest, and during a normal lap when you have not used a vest? This sounds like a great idea, I think that I will give it a try, now that I am finally getting used to swimming. Thanks!

Do you feel like you have more impact trauma from wearing the vest while running. I am afraid of doing unnecessary damage to my joints by wearing excess weight. For the record, I am very lean - 5'11" and 162 lbs. I run three 7 minute miles a few times a week and want to improve my time.
